LDA of Indiana Mission Statement
LDA-IN is a non-profit 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Learning Disabilities Association of America, which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and their families, as well as finding causes of and preventing LD and related disorders.
The volunteer board of LDA-IN is composed of individuals with LD, their family members, and professionals in education. We provide a variety of resources in Indiana, including the annual conference, a newsletter published several times each year, and an informational website, as well as connection to the national organization.
Our annual conference is focused on Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorders in school-age children and adolescents and has been well attended since 1974. It is a forum where parents, educators, college students, service providers, and other interested individuals come together to share ideas and innovative approaches to teaching and student learning.
